Private by design

Stays on your Wi-Fi. Encrypted both ways.

  • Everything between your phone and PC is encrypted
  • Scan a QR to pair, your phone owns the link
  • Your stuff stays on your network
  • Phone side works in any browser, app store install not needed

Things people ask before downloading.

How does my phone connect to Zwish?

Scan the QR code on your desktop with your phone camera. Your phone opens a link and pairs right away. You don't need an app store, an account, or a sign-in!

Just make sure devices are on the same Wi-Fi (or your phone's hotspot).

Is my data safe?

Yes! Everything between your phone and PC is encrypted and local, and pairing is locked to your devices.

Your stuff stays on your network. We don't collect or send anything anywhere.

Does it work on macOS and Windows?

We support Windows (x64 and ARM64) and macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel). (Windows works slightly better.) Phone side should work in any modern browser, including iPhone Safari and Android Chrome.

Why does my browser or OS warn me when I download?

Browsers and computers flag any new app from a developer without a paid certificate. You can always do a virus scan if you wish, but it's just how new indie apps get treated.

Click Keep on the browser warning. On Windows for example, click More info, then Run anyway.

The cursor occasionally stutters. Why?

Cursor movement leans on your network. High ping, distance from the router, or a busy Wi-Fi can cause stutters.

Hit Reconnect device in the desktop app and it usually clears up. Taps, swipes, scrubs, and the keypad stay snappy either way.

Does it work on public Wi-Fi?

It usually does! But some public networks (cafes, hotels, airports) block devices from talking to each other through their guest portal logins. Zwish needs your phone and PC to reach each other directly, so it can fail there.

Your phone's hotspot or USB tethering is the easy backup. Both devices on the same hotspot and it'll work.

Can I share or back up my configuration?

Certainly! Export your whole setup as a file from the Profiles page. Import on updated versions or another machine and everything carries over.

How do I install new updates?

Just replace your old .exe or .app file with the new one. Keep the config folder next to it (Windows), open the .app package contents to find the config folder (Mac), or export your configuration and import using a fresh version.

Will more features come?

Yes! If we have a lot of users we'll keep shipping new builds. We've already got a long list planned: multiple profiles, more keypad keys, app-specific modes, color themes, full macros, native phone apps with Bluetooth, even possible cloud sync.

It all depends on how many people show up and whether Zwish is actually useful in your day. So give it a try and let us know what you'd want next.
